What a busy day!
We read our stories to one more class this morning, followed by sharing our science inquiry projects with 6C! We began to move and pack items in the classroom for Ms. Bruce's move. We ended the day with sharing our science inquiry projects with 6W **Desk and locker clean out TMRW - bring bags and ask for a ride! AND MOVIE IN THE PM **FRIDAY is our LAST DAY! We will spend the afternoon playing board games and minute to win it games!

We had our final morning meeting today, followed by a new desk change.
We experienced the star dome and learned more about the solar system - it was super cool! In the afternoon we shared our finished story books! **Story Books are shared one more time TMRW **Science inquiry mini presentations due TMRW **Locker and desk clean out/ movie in the afternoon THURSDAY June 28th **Minute to Win it afternoon FRIDAY June 29th It's our final week together! Please send an email ahead of time to let me know if your child will be missing school on Friday - I have small goodbye gifts I would like to give to them on Thursday before they leave!
Students wrote their names in block letters and measured every angle within the letters! One final class was provided to complete story books. All three grade 6 classes went outside for a field day in the afternoon before recess. A double period was provided for students to work on their picture books. Students were given time to work on their lit circle task, finish up their decades project, and work on their picture books. Half of the decades presentations were completed today. They will continue on Tuesday June 19th **Lit Meeting #1 TMRW - have your job and reading ready! **NO SCHOOL FRIDAY JUNE 15th **Fort Whyte Field Trip Monday June 18th - dress for the weather **Library books due Tues June 19th **Drawings for the picture books due June 19th Estimation presentations were this morning. The last double period was provided with the laptops for students prepare for their decades presentation tomorrow. Groups of students created the moon phases with oreos! Students were able to use their protractors to measure angles out!
A double period was provided to students to begin drawing out their story book/ create it on the book creator app. We watched a Bill Nye video about the moon's phases! Angles were introduced! Students will be able to physically show you what an acute, obtuse, straight, and reflex angle with their arms (if you ask kindly!) Students received their next literature circle book! Reading is expected to be completed at home, along with the job assignment. Health class was spent outside playing different games to work on our throwing and running skills! **PARENTS a field trip form was sent home today for Fort Whyte. Please sign the permission form and return it ASAP! **Story typed with page breaks is due MON June 11th **Estimation presentation due TUES June 12th **Decades presentations due WED June 13th **Lit Meeting #1 THURS June 14th Only 14 school days left!! |
